It is mainly used to measure physical and chemical changes related to heat, such as studying changes including the melting point, heat of fusion, crystallization and heat of crystallization, heat of phase transition reaction, thermal stability (oxidation induction period), glass transition temperature, adsorption and desorption, content analysis of components, decomposition, combination, dehydration, and additives of substances.
